About Virginia City Warrants

Each Virginia independent city runs its own police force that serves bench warrants. The local General District Court handles most misdemeanor capias orders. The Circuit Court handles felony bench warrants. You can search city court cases through the Virginia Judicial System case site and pick the city court from the list.

Note: Virginia independent cities are separate from any county, so a city warrant search is done through the city police and city court, not a county sheriff.
